Shelter-In-Place began in March 2020. At that time, Tami and Brian Shaffer, parents of 3 elementary school-aged children, were tasked with a fate that many working parents now faced in the time of COVID-19 — working full-time from home while simultaneously becoming the “crisis educators” for their kids. They struggled to help their kids complete daily assignments via the long-distance learning plans. Tami needed to keep her local child-centric business running and Brian’s calendar was already full working long hours as an attorney.
The local teachers created exceptional learning plans for their kids; however, the learning plans often required constant guidance — an understandable notion — these are young kids, after all!
Tami felt there needed to be a better way to support her own children, and others in similar positions. She created The Study Studio to address that need.
